NCCC will be blogging from the National Wilderness Conference next week

Phil Fenner and Karl Forsgaard of NCCC will be at the National Wilderness Conference next week, and Phil will be "live-blogging" about it from the conference... watch for his (probably at least) daily posts!

Karl will be on a panel discussion next Saturday morning:
Motorized Recreation: Threats and opportunities in the wilderness context (panel) - Karl Forsgaard, North Cascades Conservation Council; Bethanie Walder, WildEarth Guardians; Terry Weiner, Desert Protective Council

Other Cascades notables presenting at the conference include:
Jack Oelfke, National Park Service: Rewilding the North Cascades: Is it worth the cost of trammeling?
Michael “Brock” Evans, Endangered Species Coalition: Wilderness As A Cultural Force in American History
Karen Taylor-Goodrich, National Park Service: Managing in Context: An international case study

The Conference organizers encourage you to post the following on their social media feeds:
Wilderness is the thread that connects us all. There's no better time to remember that than during the 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act! People from across the country are in Albuquerque this week celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act. #Wilderness50
